We're back!

Message from Dave:

I have finally convinced Kendel to start this blog up again after nagging her for 6 months or more.  I took a look at the blog today (as I do periodically) and when I reached the top, I noticed the last post was about a year ago and that got me going again.  Finally, Kendel has agreed to start writing some of the funny stories that seem to happen around here on a daily basis so you can join in the fun and more importantly give us something to read 10, 20, 30 years from now and remember all of the funny things 2 & 4 year olds can do, not to mention the good material this blog will give me for wedding speeches (assuming I ever let the girls out of the house to date). Anyway, stay tuned for some catch up stories from the past year.  Kendel has promised to start writing tomorrow night.

As I think back on the busy year we have had since the last post, some stories come to mind that Kendel will likely be writing about:

  • Girls night (Kendel and Taylor) - No daddy's allowed
  • Are we having a boy or a girl (includes video) - I still think Kendel is playing a massive joke on me :-)
  • Potty training with Erin - I have never seen someone go to the bathroom so much but when the reward is candy, I guess it makes sense
  • Taylor being in school - probably harder on Kendel!
  • Bethany Beach vacation - including Taylor's "Bethany Beach friends".  Our annual trip and something Taylor always says is "next week".  "When we go to Bethany Beach next week, I can't wait to see my Bethany Beach Friends"
  • Christmas - best time of the year when you have kids
  • Playing Burger King - This happens on the deck and the fact that they call the game "playing Burger King" says a lot!
  • Taylor's first bicycle - yes, she is officially growing up :-(
  • Jeni's wedding - almost forgot this one but it was one of the best nights we have had with the girls in the past year.  They had so much fun and we couldn't get them off the dance floor.
I am sure there are plenty more that Kendel will remember and write about, as well as to expand on some of the ones above.  I hope you enjoy!

Also, here is one of my favorite pictures of the girls since last year.  It was taken on Jeni's wedding day and I just love it.
